Lazeez has okay food but everything else could use vast improvements.
The restaurant itself could use a good scrubbing--its definitely a grab-and-go type of place.
The workers are pretty forgetful, they really aren't able to multitask. If they take more than one order at once, they only remember the last few orders and completely forget the first few. Their overall speed is also incredibly slow.
I got the Lazeez on the rocks. It's pretty good and the spicy sauce wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be. For me, the sauce was enough, but my friend thought it could be saucier--so I guess it's more so personal preference.
I probably wouldn't want to come back. The price isn't really worth the slow speed and questionable hygiene. The food was generally good and didn't make me sick, but my friend was out for the count the next day.

Got a small chicken on the rocks and it was the smallest most pathetic amount. They clearly only filled it up halfway. When the younger girl put the box in the paper takeout bag, she put it in sideways so all the sauce leaked into the bag, and leaked into my car seats. The chicken was stale and tasted like it had been sitting out for a long time.
Service was super rude, the older man didn't seem like he wanted to serve me at all. Not sure if he was racist against Asians, or if he just overall had a bad attitude. You should be ashamed of this excuse of a restaurant. -

I generally like Lazeez Shawarma, just NOT this location.
A few years ago, the service was so terrible that I wrote an email to the franchise management. They promptly replied, apologized and told me to ask for the store manager next time I visited. They didn't realize that it was the store manager who had served me in the first place.
Fast Forward to June 14, 2019, when Lazeez was offering $3 specials to celebrate the Toronto Raptors NBA basketball win. I came with 3 members of my family. The store manager was at the cash register and 2 customers were ahead of us. The manager told us that it would be 30 minutes before he could fill our Raptors Special (shawarma and rice). We said we would wait.
Within 10 minutes, the 2 customers had their orders filled and a woman asked us what toppings we wanted on our order. She prepared 1 order and put it in a paper bag. The kitchen helpers placed a bunch of containers filled with the same shawarma and rice on the counter. They were ready for toppings.
The woman gave us 1 order. We were still waiting for our other 3 orders. At this point, some people entered the shop and the manager began to take their orders. They all wanted the Raptors Special. He took some of the containers and began to put toppings for them. I stepped up to remind the woman and the man that we had paid for FOUR orders and had only received ONE order. I would have been a bit displeased if he had made me wait for my food and then gave it away to someone who came in after me!
My original complaint to the franchise management was about the store manager's rude service and disorganization. Today, I saw that he's improved a little bit. He's less rude but just as disorganized.
And what was that S$$T about waiting 30 minutes for the Raptors Special? If it takes 30 minutes to prepare a SMALL box of shawarma and rice, how could it take less time to prepare a LARGE box? It's the same shawarma and rice! I think he tried to discourage us from waiting in the hope that we would order the regular, larger, non-Raptors Special!
Next time, I will budget extra time to drive to the Kennedy location or wait until I'm in Waterloo. At the Waterloo location, the staff is extremely polite and organized. -

I've had lazeez a few times and they never disappointed me, the staff was always nice, and I've never seen them be nasty to anyone. But 2 days ago I went and I got something new and now I'm regretting it. The beef on the rocks gave me food poisoning for 2-3 days. This is probably the worst food poisoning I've ever had. I highly doubt I'll try lazeez ever again because clean food would not do that to a person's stomach.
